Hi I’m Claire, I have Cerebral Palsey which I contracted when I was 3 years old. My disability affects my ability to walk unaided, and I do everyday tasks slower than an abled bodied person. I have a good sense of humour and like to live my life the best I can.
I graduated from University in 2010, with a 2.2 in Drama, since then to present I work as a volunteer Front of House member at the Dukes Theatre in Lancaster, where I have performed in a few plays, as well as volunteering in a charity shop. Since September 2013 to July 2014, I was an Assistant Director for a drama group at the Dukes.
I like to think of the stage as being my second home, it makes me feel alive and I belong there, I never want to leave at the end of the day. I very rarely get nervous, with me its more excitement. I’m very ambitious and know when to be professional and I always try to bring a sense of realism to any characters I play.
