Acting Academy classes last 90 minutes, this allows for a vocal/body warm up and drama games to increase confidence and creativity before the main activity.

In the Spring term students will be be focusing on ACTING FOR TV.

Each week students will be given real TV scripts to prepare for the following week, when they will be filmed and given individual feedback on technique and performance.

The term will culminate in a live performance of their work on a huge screen at our prestigious DRAMA CUPS. Industry professionals (casting directors/directors/TV actors) will watch the show and give our students invaluable feedback and present high achieving students with their with personal acting awards in the judges name.

Over the past 15 years students have been cast in TV shows from their appearance in the DRAMA CUPS and made great contacts in the industry.  Mel also presents her own awards for actors that have shown considerable improvement and scholarships for students that have worked hard against the odds.

All academy classes are kept at 15 students per class and are taught by Melanie Ash, and assisted by Hollie Thornton.

This class is for students aged 6-12 years old.

You can pay for classes weekly (£13.00) or in advance at £11 per session (fee’s payable term time only). All ‘pay weekly’ students must purchase a £10 deposit ticket to secure their place – this will be held for the term and returned on completion of the course.
