Mel trained as an actor at Manchester Metropolitan University and the prestigious Manchester School of Acting (by Mark Hudson) and holds a BA HONS/ALAM. She has taught Drama and English in:

- Sixth Form Colleges
- Elite stage schools such as LAMDA, RADA & ArtsEd
She’s committed to trauma-informed practice, creating supportive environments for neurodiverse students and young people facing barriers – always with safeguarding as a priority.
