Absolutely love this drama group. My son has been going for many years now and says Mel is the best teacher. She is strict but fun too. My son is disabled and uses a wheelchair, Mel has, without any comment, altered venues and organised access especially for him. She has a few students with additional needs and they are all treated the same. Totally recommend Meladrama to anyone of any age or ability. Go for it x

Melanie Ash is funny, warm, insightful, honest, creative and has a wealth of acting experience and industry knowledge that is invaluable to budding actors. Her energy knows no bounds and her commitment to her students is truly awe-inspiring. The weekly lessons are varied and students are constantly engaged and challenged. The improvement I have seen in my daughter since she began at Meladrama is incredible. There are so many opportunities from workshops to performing in shows, filming, LAMDA exams and auditions for professional work. Equally important is the caring, supportive, inclusive environment that Meladrama offers to those who harbour no plans to take to the stage but attend to pure enjoyment, confidence building, self knowledge, passion and self-expression. Having had some experience of other drama schools in the region I can say wholeheartedly that Meladrama is head and shoulders above the rest.

Excellent classes.I started at the beginning of term in September and was playing the main part for the Christmas show,this was down to Mel and her vast acting experience and teaching style.I had no acting experience at all when I started but Mel has an ability to get the best out of all her students.

Fabulous classes for all ages. Really fun and enjoyable and gives the kids (and adults) so much more confidence. Mel is so lovely too and professional.

I’m pleased to say that with Mels school training he has been able to star in films and various TV series. Mel cares for her students and fully protects their interests whilst under her management. In that time she has developed in every way possible .. from a quiet, shy, timid girl who struggled to make friends in new places or talk to people she didn’t know to now making friends wherever we go, trying new things. Meladrama has been amazing for my daughter’s passion for acting and performing. She worked with the school to develop sequence of work for drama, which was progressive for the skills needed. She worked alongside the Senior Leadership Team, Directors of Learning and the Teacher of History to create a bespoke Year 7 and Year 8 curriculum, which reflects and compliments the delivery plan.

It was a purposeful exercise, which has seen our History results improve. It has allowed the boys to use content from History lesson to be dramatize using the skills. EXCELLENT WORK!

I worked with Mel on Ackley Bridge & she was a professional through in and out, an absolute pleasure of an actress & person to work with, het time with the children whilst filming set her apart as they all warmed to her. She was great with them and it came as no surprise to learn she teached children. Very kind hearted person who will put your childs learning desires at her forefontr. Keep it up Mel! X
