Meladrama Acting School is delighted to announce that bookings are now open for our 2026 Summer Schools in Warrington, Preston and Wigan.

For over 20 years, we have been helping young people across the North West develop confidence, creativity, communication skills and performance ability through drama. Whether your child dreams of appearing on television, performing on stage or simply wants to build confidence and make new friends, our Summer Schools offer a safe, supportive and exciting environment where every young person can thrive.

A Family Business Built on Real Industry Experience

Meladrama Acting School was founded by professional actor and acting coach Melanie Ash (BA HONS/ALAM), who has worked in television, film and theatre since childhood.

This year, Melanie has recently returned from filming a new television drama in San Sebastián, Spain, due for release later this year.

Working alongside Melanie is her son, Leo Ashton, who has worked professionally as an actor since the age of six. Leo is currently filming the latest series of Waterloo Road and is also known for his work on House of the Dragon, The Bay, Deep Water and numerous other television productions.

Together they run Meladrama Acting School and CHAOS Actors Management, helping young performers take their first steps into the industry while ensuring that every student develops valuable life skills through drama.

More Than Just Acting

Whilst many of our students have gone on to secure professional work in television, film, theatre and commercials, the majority join us for a very different reason.

Many children arrive feeling shy, anxious or lacking confidence.

Drama helps young people:

• Make new friends

• Improve teamwork and resilience

• Develop creativity and imagination

• Learn to express themselves positively

Warrington Summer School

Recent Student Successes

We are incredibly proud of the achievements of our students and agency clients.
